Dr Claire Madden Smith

Dr. Claire Madden-Smith is a seasoned executive with a proven track record in transforming scientific innovation into commercially viable services. For nearly two decades, she was part of the executive management team which organically evolved and transformed a University of Nottingham spin out into a publicly listed highly successful contract R&D and manufacturing organisation developing complex medicines for unmet medical needs.  Latterly, she became the driving force behind the quarter over quarter growth of Juniper Pharma Services for over four years, leading to a second successful sale in 2018. Her leadership skills are marked by her commitment to mentor, and develop teams towards a shared vision and values that align innovative science with business objectives and industry needs.

Post acquisition, Dr. Madden-Smith transitioned from executive management to strategic consultancy. She currently serves as a Non-exec Director with BDD Ltd. in Scotland and advises and mentors several companies in the pharmaceutical and private equity sectors.
