Winners of Undergrad vacation grants announced

Optoelectronics

We are delighted to announce that we have awarded 20 undergrad vacation grants this year: 13 to nutrition students and seven to optoelectronics students. This unique grant gives undergrads at UK universities the chance to experience working in a lab for ten to 12 weeks over the summer.

Each year students have a chance to work on a range of research projects. Nutrition research projects this year include: investigating insect protein and measuring resistant starch in potatoes. Optoelectronics projects this year include: investigating perception of colour saturation and investigating gallium oxide.
