Current research initiatives being supported:

Student Vacationships.  The Funds initiated a  scheme in 1996 to help research workers in Nutrition and Crop Husbandry pay for appropriate assistance during University vacations.  The intention was to provide basic level help for research projects and also to stimulate students anticipating a career in the subjects.

Post Graduate Studentships.  Partial funding is offered for post graduate studentships in Human Nutrition over a period of up to four years.

Rank Lectures will be sponsored to allow distinguished speakers to give keynote presentations at some of the annual meetings of prestigious scientific organisations.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Forums.  The principle of a forum is to assemble a group of some 20 established scientists wishing to explore a topic of special interest over 2 to 3 days.  Grants are available for outside organisations to organise and administer such events.
